If I was led by God to love God, step by step, as it seemed, if I accept that the beauty and the rapture were real and true, then the rest of it was God's will too and that is cause for bitterness

"Matthew ten, verse twenty-nine," Vincenzo Giuliani said quietly. "'Not one sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it.'"
"But the sparrow still falls," Felipe said.

Life is card game. You have to play the hand that it has dealt you. You may not be able to choose the cards you have but you can always choose how you play it.

The Young Economists Convention is over (Thank God!). No more staying at the AKIEBS for phone calls to various academic institutions and picky VIPs. No more papers to staple. No more kits to complete. No more tons of work... and no more distraction from thinking about that... something or someone.

More about the YEC first...the first day was a blast... well to start off... I got to hang around Fitz. He's 'my precious'. Wahaha. Anyway, we both got assigned to the lobby to wait for the arrival of the VP Guingona and other VIPs (actually he was supposed to be with Cheng on this assignment but hoorah! God loves me so much that He actually made it possible for Tyrone to ask me to accompany 'my precious") While we were waiting for the VIPs we took it upon ourselves to assist the incoming YEC participants. Of course, I didn't lose a chance flirting with this oh-so-cute guy while doing my job. Now that's mixing business with fun.. wehehe...

My precious and I, of course, quickly got acquainted in such a short span of time... ahh, it was so sweet... the way we ran up and down the staircase with my hand in his... the way he attended to me as we ate the lunch reserved for the organizers... he reminded me of that someone in that wild BLUE yonder... that's unfair on his part, i guess... ARRRGGHHH!

My dad left for New York last January 17. My mom cried and even turned around the car several times in order to get a last glimpse. It is necessary for my dad to leave us due to the demands of his profession, so, this trip wasn't something new. YEt, though it happens quite often, we still cry. Perhaps, parting ways is difficult especially if you care deeply for the other person because of the anticipation for the moments that you won't find that person beside you. It is difficult because of the fact that both parties know that they won't be there for each other; they worry, not about what may happen to them but what may happen to the other.

I wonder if I would find someone who will worry me and who I will worry. I wonder if I would find that person who would cry when I leave and whom I will cry for as I take a step away from him.

I found someone who worries me and who could make me cry as distance takes him away from me. The question now is whether he worries about me or whether he would cry for me. He's quite a character. If he was not then he would not be able to take a hold of me without trying (or so i think). He's quite the perfect guy... wait, let me rephrase that... he's the perfect guy for me.

We talked two days ago about anything that popped in our mind. Several things happened that quite caught me off guard and made me vulnerable enough to hope that this guy might be a 'keeper', as Kris so nicely put it. For one he guessed who I really am in just a snap. Now, either I am that transparent or in a short span of time he was able to unearth the real me. How could he know who I am? Why did he know me? How come he took pains to know me? Another is that he shared with me a beautiful French song. He sang to me and in listening I was hoping that he's sharing this song with me not only because he knew that I would appreciate it but also because he considered me important enough to sing it to. I swore to myself that I won't trust my feelings again and that I'll rationalize when I am dealing with him. Apparently, rationality got thrown out the window and now I'm being stupid by risking my heart again. Rationality dictates that I may decide against the dictate of my feelings however, it seems that I am disposed to decide in favor of what I feel. In my inability to avoid any notion that suggests that I have feelings for him I tried to tell myself that we cannot be together and that we are untterly incompatible. However, the more I get to know him the more I am convinced that it is the other way around and that it is possible that we could have a future together. Every device I have put up has been broken down, I feel vulnerable and yet elated to accept that I can freely... uhh... be enamored with him and at the same time be free to enamor him.

He said it makes him happy when I laugh at him... It makes me wonder if he saw through my laugh and saw that this girl is smitten, entranced even, with him...

    You are 18% geek
OK, so maybe you ain't a geek. You do, at least, show a bit of interest in the world around you. Either that, or you have enough of a sense of humor to pick some of the sillier answers on the test. Regardless, you're probably a pretty nifty, well-rounded person who gets along fine with people and can chat with just about anyone without fear of looking stupid or foolish or overly concerned with minutiae. God, I hate you.
